The Engels Residence. Sarasota, Florida.

The Engels Residence was designed for a young, semi-retired executive from the North. It is located on a fresh water lake in Sarasota. While the house is contemporary in feeling, the antiques go well with its pavilion living room which faces the lake. It has a strong, regular expression of structure of wood laminated post and beam throughout. Siding is V-groove cypress, stained grey, and the trim is white.
